I have two cards for you today using one of my favourite techniques. I pressed my Distress ink pads on my Ranger Craft mat and sprayed some water over it. I prepped two watercolour paper panels with white embossed background stamp from Hero Arts. I needed two because I wanted two different looks.
First is a smooth watercolour background with colours pooling at the edge of embossed lines. I just pressed the paper down firmly and rubbed all over it with my hand. I put that soaked panel aside to dry and made another one.
I pressed my watercolour paper panel on top of ink drops left on my craft mat. That resulted in a softer and splotchier look.
I usually don’t use black cardstock for other that sympathy cards so I decided to try it out. I used my first background panel for a Birthday card and the second one for a Hello card.
I think these two cards are not for anyone. I will probably have to choose the recipient carefully 🙂
Thank you for joining me today and I hope you try the second part of this technique too, because it’s a lot of fun and the look you get is super “artsy” 🙂
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for another fun challenge. Use your supplies well and you might win a gift voucher from our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
You can also find all the supplies I used for my two cards in the supply list down bellow. You can get everything at Simon Says Stamp. How amazing is that? 🙂
Have a great day!
