Coralynn here with a card for our new challenge for August with Wow Embossing products.
I just purchased the colour layering ice cream set and I just love it and couldn’t wait to see how the foil from Wow would look on it. I like how it turned out for being my first real attempt at using foil.
I stamped the ice cream with distress oxide inks in picked raspberry and the waffle cone in Hero Arts butter bar and pumpkin pie shadow inks. I heat set the distress ink because it takes longer to dry and I didn’t want to bonding powder to stick everywhere. Once it was dry I use my anti-static tool and then stamped the outlines with Versamark ink. I heat set it and while it was still hot I took a piece of the Wow foil and burnished it into the powder. I did miss a couple of spots but they still look yummy!
I took the worn lipstick and picked raspberry oxide inks and did some smooshing for the watercolour background panel. I was pleased with how awesome it turned out! I adhered that to the pink coloured card stock with liquid glue and then again to the pink panel to the card base. Then for my sentiment I used Hero Arts white embossing powder and heat set it on to a piece of black card stock from my stash. I cut it out with my trimmer and added a fishtail to the end. I adhered it to the card as well as one of the ice cream cones. With the other, I added foam tape and then added it to the card to finish it off.
