Hey guys, I hope you have had an awesome week ?
As you know we are playing with WOW products this month and one of the products I have been playing around with is one of their embossing powders called Heather, It is a really pretty powder that is mainly blue but has flecks of pink/purple running through it.
I have to confess I tend to not use my Hero Arts Background stamps, not because i don’t like them..i love them but it just i like to keep them looking pretty and new….crazy hey !
But for this card i decided to break that habit and used Hero Arts Wallpaper Pattern along with the embossing powder onto some Neenah Solar White card stock.
I wanted to use some of the Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens to colour in random parts of the pattern so I used Teacup, Cosmos & the clear over a silver gel pen to randomly colour parts of the pattern.
Whilst I waited for that to dry I created an A2 Top folding note card and trimmed down some silver glitter paper I have in my stash.
When the sparkle areas were dry I trimmed the piece down to 1.5″ x 5.5″, so that it was slightly smaller than the piece of silver glitter paper.
Using some strong adhesive I adhered the panels together and adhered these to the notecard.
For the sentiment I used the Just a note sentiment from Hero Arts everyday sentiments set and stamped it in the bottom right hand corner using black dye ink.
I had to resist the urge to add sequins or enamel dots, but decided this card didn’t need it and would probably look too OTT with them.
Good thing about this card is there is SO many ways to colour this stamp.
Don’t forget to check out our current challenge, the theme is super easy Embossing.
Thank you for stopping by, have a great day
