We’re collaborating with the fabulous Winnie and Walter this month and I decided to use one of the gorgeous floral sets from Winnie and Walter as the focus of my card.
I started by stamping the florals from Addie’s Garden onto a piece of watercolor paper with versamark and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. Then I watercolored the flowers with distress ink in Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries, and Dried Marigold. I let it dry and then colored the background with Chipped Sapphire distress ink. I added flicks of water across the panel and blotted it off after 30 seconds. I repeated the process but this time I blotted the water after a minute to get more dimension. I also added flicks of metallic gold paint and Festive Berries distress ink. I let it dry completely, trimmed it down to a 4″ by 5.25″ panel, and adhered it to a white card base.
Next I die-cut the In a Word Thanks cutaway die from white cardstock and adhered it to the card panel with ATG adhesive. I also die-cut the rest of the sentiment from the Thank You Pair Fancy die from gold glitter paper and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a few metallic gold sequins to finish the card.
I hope this gives you a little inspiration for our floral challenge and I can’t wait to see what you create! Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!
