Coralynn here with a birthday card for you. We all need birthday cards no matter what and this one can be quickly mass produced. You can take a large piece of watercolour paper and add your colours and then cut it into sizes that will fit on your card base.
I am very excited to be working with Honey Bee Stamps this month. They always have wonderful stamps and dies and they shop is just exploding with fun new products.
I started by stamping the little party confetti all over the background heat embossed with white embossing power. I then added the colours and made sure that I didn’t allow them to mix because when I added the green, I added it to the wrong spot! I wanted to add it where the blue is so that I would get some purple in there too but that didn’t happen. I then trimmed the panel down and added it to the white card base with foam tape. I also added liquid adhesive because the paper warped a bit so by doing so it helps the paper stick much better. I then added something heavy so it would dry flat.
I then took the Hooray Honey Cuts die and cut out the background out of a piece of vellum from my mound of paper stash and also a small piece of what card stock and adhered them together with liquid adhesive and then to the watercoloured panel. And in true Coralynn fashion, I forgot to stamp the happy birthday. Since this is a common occurrence I’m getting pretty handy at fixing the stamping so I took a black water proof marker and filled in the lines over the embossing and you’d never know the difference. That will be our little secret! 😉
We hope you’ll head over to the link up and join us for our watercolour challenge with Honey Bee Stamps.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, we hope to see you again soon!
