Hey lovelies, I hope you are enjoying this months challenge.
If you want to check it out then just click on the image below or in the sidebar.
One of the things I am loving at the moment is layering stamps. I have to admit when they first come around I LOVED the look of them but they scared me ! I am pretty rubbish with lining up stamps (thank god for the Misti) then when Hero Arts brought their layering stamps out I knew I had to get over and purchased some and I have to say I feel in love.
If you haven’t tried layering stamps I highly encourage you and they really are awesome to work with.
For my card today I am working with Hero Arts Seahorse Layering set.
I wanted a fairly clean and simple card so on the main card piece I used an ink blending tool to add some colour to the card.
I then set about stamping up the elements that I wanted to use from the set.
The ink pads I used are pictured below
Never overlook you Ombre ink pads as indivdual colours also using your white (especially the dye based white) can give fantastic results.
You can see here on the middle shell I used Wet Cement for the base colour and then the white dye ink for the detailed layer and it has worked perfectly.
Once I die cut my elements out I wanted to work out placement for everything on the front of the card , I knew where I wanted my sentiment so I stamped that, I also knew where I was placing my Seahorse so once I had worked out the rest I added some bubbles from the set.
I then set about adhered everything to the panel. On the actual card base I adhered some paper I had in my stash and adhered the main panel onto.
I decided to add some dimension by using some Nuvo Jewel drops on the bubbles to finish the card off.
And that it was it all finished.
I hope you like the card and I hope it has inspired you to have a play with layering stamps.
