Hello, happy Friday! Kelly here sharing my card for April’s challenge, Anything Goes.
I am attending a Indian Wedding this month which will be very colorful and I needed a colorful card for the couple. I used a fun technique I learned from watching a Justine Hovey YouTube video. I taped a piece of water colour card stock onto a board, painted the card with clean water then dropped water colors on the card stock (I used the wet on wet water coloring technique). Then I put a Hero Arts stencil on my colored card stock, taping down the edges. My card stock really warped even though it was taped down and the stencil was not making enough contact with the card stock so I weighed down the stencil with a large acrylic block and let it dry over night.
I die cut the Hero Arts “happy” die twice from black card stock and twice from pink, adhering the layers. I stamped the “wedding day” with a stamp positioning tool (I didn’t want to mess up my water color panel by stamping crookedly) where I wanted it on my water colored background before adhering the happy die cut. The water colored background has a piece of fun foam adhered to the back of it for some dimension. I colored the happy die cut with a sparkle gel pen than coated it with some glossy accents. Finally I adhered some crystals upside down because I like how they looked and the sparkle they added.
Thanks for coming by, have a great day.
