Hello, happy Friday! Kelly here with my card for my March solo post using products from Studio Katia and Hero Arts. Thank you to Studio Katia for collaborating with us, please check out their products here.
When planning my card I knew I wanted to use the Hero Arts Star Confetti Die and the fun Studio Katia Birthday Lions stamp set. For some inspiration I googled images of lions and stars and some of the images from the Lion King movie came up that were perfect. I stamped the lion and gift and colored them with Copic markers then fussy cut the images. The Hero Arts Star Confetti die I cut from navy card stock and than adhered a piece of yellow card stock behind it. Once I adhered all my card stock layers, fussy cut images and sentiment to a card base I used a fine tip glue bottle to put small drops of glue in the stars and used tweezers to help place the sequins and beads (from Studio Katia). I coated the die cut “happy” with Glossy Accents to help it stand out from the background. When I showed this card to my daughter she commented that it must of took a long time to glue on the sequins and beads. I actually the adhering the beads and sequins relaxing, I put on some music, enjoyed some quiet time for myself in my craft room and it didn’t take long at all.
I hope you join our challenge which begins Monday March 6.
