Hi Everyone! It’s Wanda here to share a project today! How are you? Are
you having a great Summer so far? I sure hope so, and hope you’ve been
having fun spending time with us here at A Blog Named Hero! We sure love
all your card entries – keep ’em coming!
For today’s post I made a gift card set that the recipient can
customize! You’ll see what I mean. I have had this idea in my head for a
long time and finally did it. I hope I can inspire you!
Here is what the finished cards will look like – Just a sweet and simple
layout with a pop of color, perfect for any occasion… I love the new
Hero Arts font sentiment stamps, and they fit perfectly on the brand new
This picture shows the card gift set all packaged and ready to give… I
found this tin in my stash, and I think it came from The Container
Store (one of my favorite places on earth!)
You know I had to decorate the outside of the tin too!
Now, here’s the fun part! This is what is inside the tin. Cards already
made up and stamped with the background, matching envelopes, some
sayings ready to go, and a whole bunch of butterflies ready to go too!
This way the person can make their own cards when they need one.
It was a lot of fun to stamp, color and cut all these pretty
butterflies! You could also do this with flowers, or little presents, or
dragonflies…anything really! I added pearls to the center to make
them a little nicer.
I put the foam tape on the back of all the pieces so they are ready to
go at a moment’s notice – and would also make it easy for the non
stampers to do it too!
And one last shot of the gift ready to go….
Here’s a card I made using Wanda’s cards as my inspiration. Make sure you come and visit my blog, Handmade by Michelle, to see another sympathy card that I made inspired by Wanda’s beautiful set.
I hope you have your Christmas card-making well underway (or even finished? If so, kudos to you!) Make sure you come back again soon, to see what all the other DT members chose as their favourites.
